Athletic Development Coaching

Athletes' Training Center’s athletic development programs offer the most comprehensive performance enhancement training in the Midwest.  We are the first and only facility in the area who integrates medical research and strength and conditioning research into all of our programs making injury prevention a top priority. The athletic development programs are for absolutely everyone regardless of age, gender, skill level, or athletic goals.  All of our coaches hold, at minimum, a Bachelor's degree and are Certified Strength and Conditioning Coaches (CSCS) which is the same certification held by all college and professional coaches.

Our athletic development programs focus on meeting the goals of each client.  We accomplish this by taking each client through a comprehensive evaluation and use that valuable information to develop a custom program that is progressed to meet the client's specific goals.  We offer a semi-private coaching model for our athletic development programs allowing our clients to be grouped with other participants who are of similar age and skill level making for a more competitive and fun environment.  In the semi-private model our clients are closely instructed and monitored by one of our degreed, certified coaches in a favorable coach to athlete ratio of 1 to 3.  Semi-private coaching is the most cost effective structure to receive this high level of training.

 

Athletic Development Coaching Programs

Athletes' Training Center has a long term athletic development philosophy.  This means we believe that the development of the motor or athletic physical skills necessary for success requires continual training over a long duration versus short training sessions done periodically (for example, a 6 week training session done periodically).  We offer a curriculum that establishes a base athletic foundation for all of our clients.  Once the foundation is established, we build layers of advanced athletic skill on that base during the course of the person's physiologic maturity.

 

Rookie Program - 10 to 11 years old

Much research has been done showing that motor control development is optimally produced around the age of 10 years old.  The Rookie Program applies the most current research in a fun, non-competitive, and positive environment.  Each session will focus on the development of the athlete’s balance and coordination, relative body weight strength, running technique, footwork, endurance, and flexibility. These traits are responsible for helping establish a child's athletic foundation for future training as well as helping develop the child’s self esteem. 

 

Foundational Program – 12 to 14 years old

The Foundational Program is the second stage of our long term athletic development model.  This program is designed for athletes who have established basic athletic motor skills and are ready to progress into entry level strength training.  This program is guaranteed to improve speed, strength, and agility while also teaching proper jumping techniques, decreasing risk of injury, and enhancing the athlete’s self-confidence.

 

Varsity Program – 15 to 18 years old

The Varsity Program is the third stage of our long term athletic development model.  This program is for athletes who have some training background, have more advanced athletic motor skills, and can tolerate more intense training sessions.  This program is guaranteed to improve speed, strength, and agility while emphasizing advanced power development, decreasing risk of injury, and enhancing the athlete’s self-confidence.

 

Elite/College Program

The Elite/College Program is for athletes currently competing in college athletics or for those high school athletes who have trained in our methodology and are aspiring to play college athletics.  This program is designed to meet the rigors of college athletics and is tailored to their specific sport.  This intense program focuses on meeting individual needs within the parameters of the sport.  If you are a soon-to-be college athlete and you are preparing for your first college season, regardless of your sport, this program will unequivocally prepare you to impress your coaches when you arrive on campus.  If you are a current college athlete, you will have never been more prepared for your season than after training in our Elite/College Program.  This program is guaranteed to improve explosiveness, speed, strength, and agility while also teaching sport-specific injury reducing exercises and proper recovery techniques to keep you playing longer.

 

Our Membership Options

All-Inclusive Athletic Performance Coaching Membership

This all-inclusive memership includes an initial comprehensive evaluation, routine follow up evaluations, an individualized program adjusted to your goals, two sessions per week with an athletic performance coach, and unlimited access to our metabolic classes. 

 

Membership Plans

For our potential members, we offer two membership plans and one per session plan. Our short term membership plan is a 3 month option for those who are not comfortable doing a long-term agreement. Our annual plan is the most cost effective plan and is for those who are ready to commit for 12 months.
